Below are our current rates for water usage (Effective 6/1/09).

Public fire protection service

The municipality has chosen to have the utility bill the retail general service customers for public fire protection (PFP). This rate is also applicable to vacant lots and properties which front utility-owned mains but are not general service customers of the water utility.

Monthly Publick Fire Protection service charge:

$0.04793 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation.
The public fire protection billing allows for the collection of PFP charges from property owners who are not subject to property taxes.

Sprinkler meters

If a customer requests the installation of an additional meter* to receive credit for clear water not discharged into the sanitary server system, the utility shall furnish and install this additional meter. This rate applies to single-family residential and small commercial customers. A rental fee shall be charged for the user of this meter and the following monthly rates shall apply:

The customer will pay for all piping in accordance with schedule X-1, water utility operation rules, installation of meters. The minimum service contract shall be one year unless otherwise specified by special contract. Where the utility has disconnected service at the customer’s request prior to expiration of the minimum contract period, a reconnection charge shall be made payable in advance, when the customer requests reconnection of service. The minimum contract period is renewed with each connection

*For this rate to apply, the additional meter must be installed on the same service lateral as the primary meter
